Kurt Schauwecker

About: I am a Junior in mechanical engineering at Missouri University of Science and technology. I went to Hickman high school in Columbia, Missouri. In addition to running I love riding road and mt bikes. I occasionally do triathlons and bike races during the summer. If its outside I probably will do it.

This is a typical week of training during the beginning of outdoor season.

Monday
Morning hurdle drills.  Then a short afternoon run of 6-8 miles.
Tuesday Morning core strength workout or 3-4 mile run.  Sometimes its a road bike ride or a swim.  Afternoon workout usually 3x3 miles or 1000's.
Wednesday
Morning hurdle drills.  Afternoon run of 8-10 miles.
Thursday
Morning cross training or lifting.  Afternoon workout usually consisting of 5-9 mile repeats or some sort of tempo workout.
Friday Short shake out run of 3 miles or so.  Usually complaining about failing some test in Mechanical Engineering.
Saturday Race day.
Sunday 90-120 minute long run.  This is by far my favorite run of the week regardless of my condition from the previous night.  This is when we get to hear the crazy stories from the weekend or have a run of truth.
Favorite Workout 3x3 mile repeats in college. In high school it was rotationals consisting of 200 at race pace followed by a 400 meter recovery.
