This is a typical week of training towards the start of track season training for the 10k.
| Monday (a.m.) Monday (p.m.) |
An easy 40 minutes. 8 - 10 miles are an easy pace |
| Tuesday (a.m.) Tuesday (p.m.) |
An easy 40 minutes. Start the run with a 2 mile warmup. We then do 3x3 mile repeats on a semi hilly course around 16 flat pace. We usually get a little carried away and average them around 15:45ish. There is a 3 minute rep time and then we end the workout with a 2 mile cool down. |
| Wednesday (a.m.) Wednesday (p.m.) |
An easy 40 minutes. 5-6 miles easy. |
| Thursday (a.m.) Thursday (p.m.) |
An easy 40 minutes. 2 mile warmup and then a 1500m loop seven times and each mile drop the pace down another 10 seconds. We usually start around 5:50 pace. |
| Friday | And easy run at whatever distance I feel, usually about 4-5 miles |
| Saturday | Race day, usually the 5k or 10k. |
| Sunday | 105 - 120 minute run. |
