Running in Zurich, Kipketer broke the record of Seb Coe which was set in 1981. Earlier in 1997 Kipketer had equalled Coes' time in Stockholm. 11 days after Zurich, Kipketer broke the record again.

I dont think the world record will be done soon.The quality of 800m athlete's is dropping every year.Maby times will pick up towards the olynpics.But there will never be another Wilson Kipketer

I agree, I think the 800 and the 3k WR are going to be around for a really long time.
