» Feeling good in the neighborhood

So to give a brief history of what my indoor season has looked like, it started off with some lovely knee problems.  I just had this really painful feeling right below my kneecaps. Fortunately enough, it was something I could still train through, at least with enough tylonol and icing after running. I still did some pretty decent workouts and I was getting that feeling of just wanting to race.

Then after doing a quarter tag workout, I had this this really annoying feeling in my IT band.  That got really annoying because of the fact that I had to substitute some running with biking. The start of the indoor season officially started and races went on their way. Then one Monday night I decided to get the stomach flue or food poisoning so I spent many hours in the bathroom completely emptying myself. It got to the point where there was talk of getting an IV in my to get some fluids back but the lovely pills I got got be back to getting alive. That cost two days of  training but then the weekend rolled around and it was time to race a 3k.  I actually PRed and ran a 8:53 or something like that.  Pretty funny because I felt like crap the entire afternoon before.

Since then I've been on and off with doing workouts and races well.  Today was a confidence booster because we had an 8 mile tempo and I did that in 42:27. But yea, conference is in two weeks so that will tell what real shape and attitude I am in.
